KawaiiHappii is a Youtube series starring Merit Leighton, who has quickly become one of the
most versatile young actor/influencers in the entertainment industry today. From her film and voice over work to her Youtube channel Leighton has proven that she can do it all.


Merit brings her #virtualhugs, incredibly optimistic personality and her love for anything Kawaii,
Japanese, Anime, Gaming, Fashion, K-pop and Comedy to the show.

She also brings her friends Jacob Hopkins, Izzy Eggerling, Benjamin Stockham and Marlowe Peyton along for the ride. The channels unique brand and amazing cast has caught the attention of major
companies. Nintendo has just given Leighton the illustrious title of “Brand Ambassador”. Her
love of gaming and her vlogging style have made KawaiiHappii a perfect match for the
Nintendo brand. KawaiiHappi has covered many topics and has currently over 25 videos on the channel with a new episode coming out every Friday.

MERIT LEIGHTON

Merit Leighton is a youtuber, actress, voice over artist and singer. Best known for voicing the recurring guest star character Lucinda The Witch on Disney’s “Sofia The First.” and singing the track “Good Little Witch” available on
ITunes. Leighton also lends her voice to the lead character of Sofia on apps, games, and toys. Merit played young Natasha in the Channel101 #1 web series Natasha, appeared as a series regular in the new media series "40's and Failing" and played Olivia in the pilot "Dad Dudes.” She starred as Doreen Portman in the film "A Tigers Tail" with Greg Grunberg and has also had roles in the films "The Lost Medallion”, "RA Resident Advisor" and "Monster Slayer" for USA Network, costarring Alicia Goranson and Timm Sharp. Her other appearances include NBC's "The New Normal" and "The Pete Holmes Show" on TBS. Merit is a professional singer as well, having most recently lent her vocals as a backup singer for Capitol Records recording artist Halsey on "New Americana." She had the honor of being chosen to perform with a full orchestra, conducted by Lorne Balfe on the SPIKE Video Game Awards. As a session singer and has worked on the projects "Funsize", "Saige Paints The Sky", "Despicable Me 2", “AnchorMan 2”, “The Healer”, and "The World Cup Song". Nominated for a 2012 Young Artist Award for her performance as Bea in "Monster Slayer” In 2017 Merit will take on the lead role of Gretchen in the indie film “Gretchen’s Two Mom’s are Dead.”

JACOB HOPKINS

Jacob Hopkins is an actor best known for being the voice of Gumball Watterson in Cartoon Network's, current hit show “The Amazing World of Gumball”, and most recently as Miller in the new CBS film “Middle School.”  Jacob is Merit’s super amazing boyfriend. This adorable couple share many common interests including Anime and Gaming. Jacob has appeared in the shows vlogs, and will soon be a part of a new segment called
#WhatTheFairytale where they make up crazy, fractured fairytales incorporating the viewers comments. Hopkins plays Chad Kremp on ABC’s hit comedy “The Goldbergs” and most recently guest starred on the Nickelodeon show “Game Shakers”, “The Dan O’Shannon” pilot for CBS, “How I Met Your Mother” on ABC and “About a Boy” on NBC. His most intriguing role was recurring as Alexander Drew, an impetuous vamp on HBO’s “True Blood.” Films include starring opposite Elizabeth Banks in “Just A Little Heart Attack” and Lifetime’s “Missing at 17.” Hopkins is also a black belt in Taekwondo and a drummer.
 

BENJAMIN STOCKHAM

Benjamin Stockham is an actor who has become known for his portrayal of Marcus on NBC’s “About A Boy.” Ben has been Merit’s best friend for years, and he is one of the funniest people you will ever encounter. Merit and Ben have a great friendship that brings so much laughter to the show. He has appeared 4 episodes of KawaiiHappii with many more episodes to come. Ben portrayed Robby Gunderson in Fox’s comedy “Sons of Tucson” which earned him a Young Artist Award. He went on to play Xander, President Gilchrist’s (Bill Pullman) youngest son, on the NBC comedy “1600 Penn”, and has guest starred on an array of TV programs including ABC’s “Once Upon A Time”, CBS’s “CSI:NY” and TNT’s “Rizzoli and Isles.” Stockham’s feature film work includes “Decoding Annie Parker” starring Helen Hunt, and his latest feature “Lost and Found” starring Jason Patrik.

 

MARLOWE PEYTON

Marlowe Peyton is an actress best known for her recurring Guest Star role of Reba on ABC’s Fresh Off The Boat and Madge on Disney’s “JESSIE.” Marlowe is Merit’s little sister. Their sisterly love gives KawaiiHappii so much heart. Marlowe as appeared in 4 episodes of the show as well as helping behind the scenes. Marlowe appeared in a supporting role in the feature film “Dance Off” with Finola Hughes, Kathryn McCormick, Carolyn Hennesy, and Shane Harper. Her extensive TV credits include recurring roles on NBC’s “Parenthood” and ABC’s “The Neighbors”. Marlowe has also been seen on FX’s “Wilfred”, ABC’s “The Middle,” and the Chirs Columbus’ CBS pilot “Applebaum” starring alongside Rachelle Lefevere and Rhys Coiro.
 

IZZY EGGERLING

Izzy Eggerling has been acting since the age of 6. Izzy is Merit’s #BFFFL (Best Friends For Freaking Life)., and they have been besties since the age of 8. She is an amazing addition to the show. Her wacky no holds barred personality is hilarious. As a recurring guest star, Izzy has appeared in 5 episodes of the show. Izzy’s television roles include Enlisted, Parks and Recreation, Rosenberg, and One. She also appeared in and Call Me Crazy directed by Laura Dern. She plays Piper in the upcoming web series The Nerd Posse.
